ASUS has officially announced the ProArt GR1X, a compact desktop computer integrating NVIDIA's advanced RTX Spark platform. Previously showcased without a finalized name at Computex, the mini PC is now confirmed to feature NVIDIA's latest architecture, combining a Grace CPU with up to 20 cores and a Blackwell GPU equipped with 6,144 CUDA cores. This configuration aims to deliver significant AI processing power, supporting up to 128GB of unified memory and offering 1 PFLOP of FP4 AI performance. ASUS highlights the system's capability to run local language models with up to 120 billion parameters.

The ProArt GR1X is engineered for reliability and sustained performance, featuring a dual-fan cooling system designed for 24/7 operation. This cooling solution incorporates 218 fan blades and seven distinct fan control levels, providing enhanced thermal management. Measuring a compact 150 × 150 × 51 mm, the mini PC addresses connectivity needs with 10GbE networking, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. It also supports the output of up to four 4K displays, making it a versatile option for professional workflows.

Advanced AI and Connectivity for Professionals

The integration of NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform positions the ProArt GR1X as a potent machine for artificial intelligence development and deployment. The combination of the Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU is optimized for AI workloads, including the training and inference of large language models. The substantial unified memory capacity further enhances its ability to handle complex datasets and models. ASUS’s focus on continuous operation suggests this mini PC is intended for environments where uptime is critical, such as research labs, creative studios, or enterprise data centers.

Beyond its core processing capabilities, the GR1X includes robust networking options. The 10GbE port ensures high-speed data transfer, crucial for large file operations and network-intensive applications. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 provides cutting-edge wireless connectivity, offering faster speeds and lower latency. The ability to drive multiple 4K displays simultaneously further enhances productivity for users who require extensive visual workspace or multi-monitor setups. ASUS plans to offer the ProArt GR1X in both Black and Silver color options.

In addition to the ProArt GR1X mini PC, ASUS also provided updated specifications for its RTX Spark-powered ProArt P16 and P14 laptops. These laptops share the 128GB unified memory support and are designed for mobile professionals. The P16, a 12.9 mm thin device weighing 1.77 kg, features a 99Wh battery and can be equipped with a 4K 120Hz OLED display. The slightly smaller P14, measuring 13.9 mm and weighing 1.48 kg, includes a 90Wh battery and offers configurations with up to a 3K OLED panel. Pricing for the GR1X, P16, and P14 models has not yet been announced by ASUS.
