BenQ Launches iMac-Specific Monitor Light Bar for $189

BenQ has unveiled the iScreenBar, a monitor light bar specifically engineered for Apple's iMac lineup. The device, launched on August 25, 2026, is designed to seamlessly integrate with the iMac's aesthetic, functioning as an extension of the computer rather than an add-on.

The primary goal of the iScreenBar is to provide optimal desk illumination without obstructing the iMac's webcam or built-in microphone, a common issue with standard monitor lights. Constructed from aluminum, the light bar illuminates an area measuring 33.5 by 19.7 inches with an intensity of 500 lux. It features an integrated glass touch panel for manual adjustments, allowing users to fine-tune brightness, color temperature, and select different lighting modes. Additionally, a dedicated macOS application offers more granular control over these settings.

Intelligent features enhance user experience, including presence detection for automatic on/off functionality. The light also synchronizes with the iMac's wake status, turning on when the computer is activated.
