Apple Surveys iPhone Duo Buyers About Foldable Display and Camera Quality
Apple is surveying recent iPhone Duo buyers about display size, the screen crease, and under-display camera performance following the device's launch.

Following the recent debut of the iPhone Duo, Apple has begun distributing email questionnaires to gather direct feedback from early customers regarding specific hardware elements, including display dimensions and camera capabilities. The survey queries participants on their primary motivations for purchasing the foldable device shortly after release.
Among the initial inquiries, buyers are presented with multiple-choice answers such as wanting to try Apple's first foldable phone, making an impulse purchase, or anticipating future price hikes for smartphones. Additional sections of the questionnaire address physical characteristics of the hardware, specifically asking about the dimensions of the outer screen—which measures 5.4 inches—along with the visibility of the internal screen crease.
Feedback on Camera and Device Compromises
The survey also examines performance metrics for the inner display's under-screen camera, which is limited to 4 megapixels and has drawn scrutiny in reviews, asking participants if the camera is distracting and how they rate its image quality. The questionnaire concludes with an open-ended prompt allowing respondents to suggest additions or modifications for the folding device.
While Apple frequently conducts customer research following major hardware rollouts, the current survey omits several recurring discussion points found in early reviews, such as Touch ID, compatibility issues with unoptimized applications, and reports of display cracks from some users.
