Anker has officially released its latest portable charging solution, the Nano Power Bank (MagGo, Plus), in Japan. This new device, previously launched in China as the Anker Air+ Ultra Slim Magnetic Power Bank, is now available for pre-order on Anker's Japanese website for ¥11,990, approximately $75 USD. Shipments are anticipated to begin in late June 2026.

The power bank boasts a substantial 10,000mAh capacity and maintains a slim profile at 15mm thick, weighing 215g. It incorporates Qi2 certification, enabling magnetic wireless charging of up to 15W for compatible devices, primarily iPhones from the 12 series onwards running iOS 17.4 or later. Notably, the iPhone 12 mini, 13 mini, and the upcoming 16e are excluded from this wireless charging feature.

For users preferring wired connections, a single USB-C port delivers up to 30W of output power and can also be used for recharging the power bank itself at a 30W input rate. When charging two devices simultaneously, the power output is split, with the wired connection limited to 12W and the wireless charging to 5W.

Advanced Battery and Safety Technology

Instead of adopting emerging battery technologies like solid-state or sodium-ion, Anker has opted to continue utilizing refined standard lithium-ion cells, referring to this iteration as Neo Lithium-Ion. The company explained that current alternative battery types are too heavy and bulky for practical use in portable power banks. Anker's internal data suggests that its Neo Lithium-Ion cells offer a superior weight-to-capacity ratio and avoid potential complications associated with airline travel restrictions or disposal, which newer technologies might encounter.

Safety and hardware monitoring have been key considerations for this model. The battery pack incorporates ATL cells and is housed within a fire-resistant chassis. To effectively manage heat during operation, the device features an aluminum alloy heat dissipation layer complemented by high-density graphene. Furthermore, an integrated battery management system meticulously logs voltage and cell data. Users can monitor the battery's health and receive estimated replacement timelines through Anker's mobile application, though direct access to this diagnostic information requires a USB-C cable connection to a smartphone.

The Anker Nano Power Bank (MagGo, Plus) is initially available exclusively in black. A white variant is slated for a broader release in the fall of 2026. This release follows Anker's recent introduction of a new 10-in-1 USB-C hub equipped with a built-in 240Hz display, signaling the company's continued innovation in the hardware-gadgets space.
