Viture is celebrating its fifth anniversary with the release of two new devices aimed at improving the comfort and wearability of smartglasses. Leading the lineup is the new Viture Pro 2, priced at $299. Weighing a mere 63 grams, these glasses are not only the company's lightest to date but also 16 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than their predecessor, the original Pro model. To ensure a secure yet comfortable fit, the Pro 2 features upgraded temple padding, a wider range of adjustable nosepads, and an integrated lens shade as standard.

Beyond enhanced wearability, Viture placed a significant emphasis on eye comfort with the introduction of its new UltraClarity 3.0 technology. This upgrade includes higher peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits and a refined field curvature design. The company states this results in more natural-looking virtual displays, thereby reducing eye strain. Furthermore, the Viture Pro 2 incorporates a built-in diopter with individual adjustments for each eye, ranging from 0 to -5.00D. This feature allows users to fine-tune visuals for optimal eyesight, potentially enabling some nearsighted individuals to use the glasses without prescription insets. By optimizing the gamma curve on the Sony micro-OLED displays, Viture claims the Pro 2 delivers more accurate and lifelike colors.

Enhanced Visuals and Connectivity

The Viture Pro 2 also boasts a larger 50-degree field of view, an increase from the 46 degrees offered by the previous model. It maintains the same 1920 x 1080 resolution per eye and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the Viture Pro 2 utilizes birdbath-style optics, which may not be as sleek as waveguide displays, it offers a compelling virtual screen experience. These smartglasses require a wired USB-C connection to a smartphone or laptop for content display, distinguishing them from more casual alternatives like Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses.

To simplify the connection process, Viture has also introduced the Mobile Dock Mini, priced at $99. This accessory is 34 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than the previous dock, weighing around 250 grams. It includes a built-in 10,000mAh battery to keep devices charged. For gamers, the dock supports the Nintendo Switch 2 and features a detachable magnetic adapter that can function as a standalone hub for connecting the handheld console to a TV or monitor. The Viture Pro 2 represents a step forward in making virtual displays more accessible and comfortable for everyday users, integrating seamlessly with existing personal technology.
