PlayStation Plus June Games: Grounded, Nickelodeon, Warhammer 40K Arrive
Sony revealed June's PlayStation Plus monthly games, featuring Xbox-owned Obsidian Entertainment's survival title "Grounded." The lineup also includes "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2" and "Warhammer 40,000: Darktide."

PlayStation Plus subscribers can look forward to adding three new titles to their libraries in June, with Sony officially announcing the lineup. Notably, "Grounded," the popular survival game developed by Obsidian Entertainment, will be available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners. Obsidian Entertainment is owned by Xbox, marking an interesting move for cross-platform availability on Sony's subscription service.
"Grounded" first launched in early access in 2020 and officially left it in fall 2022. The game, which places players in a backyard shrunk to the size of insects, only became available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch platforms in April 2024, following Microsoft's shifts in its first-party game exclusivity strategy.
Joining "Grounded" in the June lineup are "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2" for PS4 and PS5, and "Warhammer 40,000: Darktide" exclusively for PS5. "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2" is a platform fighter featuring a roster of beloved Nickelodeon characters, while "Warhammer 40,000: Darktide" is a cooperative first-person shooter set in the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40,000, often described as a spiritual successor to the "Vermintide" series.
May's Games Still Available and Updates
Players have until June 2 to claim two of May's PlayStation Plus offerings: "Nine Sols" and "Wuchang: Fallen Feathers." However, "EA Sports FC 26," which was also part of May's lineup, will remain available for an extended period, with subscribers able to claim it until June 16. Sony has indicated that "EA Sports FC 26" will receive a significant update on June 4, introducing an international tournament mode that includes 48 national teams. This update comes shortly before a major real-world international soccer tournament, suggesting a strategic release for the popular sports simulation game.
Beyond the monthly rotating games, Sony also detailed additions to the PS Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers. Starting June 9, "Destiny 2: Legacy Collection" will be accessible. This bundle includes all expansions for the long-running game up to "The Final Shape," which concluded the main storyline in 2026. The release of this collection coincides with the launch of "The Final Shape" expansion, marking the end of an era for active development on the base game, although the title remains free-to-play.
The decision to include "Grounded" in the PlayStation Plus lineup is a notable development, reflecting a broader trend of increased collaboration and wider availability of titles across different console ecosystems. As Microsoft and Sony continue to adapt their strategies in the competitive gaming market, consumers may see more such cross-platform offerings in the future. This move benefits players by expanding their gaming options, regardless of their preferred hardware. The inclusion of these diverse titles aims to provide significant value to PlayStation Plus subscribers throughout June.
