Automobili Lamborghini officially launched the Revuelto SV on Friday, an exclusive hybrid variant of its V12 Revuelto, immediately claiming the title of the most powerful and fastest production car to roll out of its Sant'Agata Bolognese factory. This new model continues the lineage of Lamborghini's renowned "SV" (Super Veloce) designation, a tradition stretching back 55 years to the Miura SV, consistently representing lighter, more aerodynamic, and significantly more potent versions of the company's flagship supercars.

The Revuelto SV integrates an electrified powertrain to amplify the visceral driving experience characteristic of a Lamborghini. "The Revuelto SV gives our customers the opportunity to go beyond in terms of performance," stated Alessandro Farmeschi, the Revuelto's product line director. "We wanted to give them something more race-oriented, and, at the same time, something that could give them the adrenaline of driving Lamborghini [while] really enjoying and having fun driving."

Production of the Revuelto SV will be strictly limited to 1,963 units globally, with a starting price of $741,172. This new hybrid supercar aims to synthesize cutting-edge automotive technology with the unparalleled luxury and blistering speed that aficionados of high-performance vehicles demand. At its core lies Lamborghini's revered naturally aspirated V12 engine, augmented by three electric motors. This formidable combination elevates the total output to over 1,050 horsepower, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a mere 2.4 seconds.

Performance and Design Enhancements

"When our clients choose a Lamborghini, they choose us because of the design, together with the technology applied," Farmeschi elaborated. "So you need to have the substance; you need to work on the technical part of the car. And the engine sound is crucial. The V12 has been the key since the very beginning, since the foundation of the company." Beyond the substantial power increase, the Revuelto SV features a recalibrated aerodynamic package. Sharper design lines, more aggressive fins, wings, and enlarged air intakes are meticulously crafted to optimize airflow and increase downforce, enhancing stability at high speeds.

The mechanical upgrades continue with a specially tuned suspension system, a newly developed carbon-ceramic braking system, and an innovative "Pilota Mode" driving setting. This mode offers drivers extensive customization options for a truly track-focused setup, allowing for a personalized racing experience. The interior has also been comprehensively redesigned, evoking the focused atmosphere of a fighter jet cockpit or a professional racecar cockpit. It features exclusive sport seats with a carbon shell structure, with an option for monocoque carbon fiber race seats that, while potentially less focused on comfort, deliver a more authentic motorsport feel.

Lamborghini's limited-edition models typically sell out long before their official unveiling, and the SV variants are particularly coveted in the collector's market, often commanding premium prices and experiencing intense demand. "When you buy a Lamborghini, you buy a Lamborghini because you want it, because you like, you want to experience driving it, but also because it's a car that keeps the value to the time," Farmeschi noted, highlighting the enduring appeal and investment potential of these exclusive machines.
