Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch four models in its Galaxy S27 series in early 2027, including the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. Among these, the Galaxy S27 Pro, a new addition to the standard lineup, is expected to sport a 6.47-inch OLED display, according to a report from South Korean publication ETNews. This screen size would position the Pro model as slightly larger than the base S27 but smaller than the S27+ and the top-tier S27 Ultra.
The Galaxy S27 Pro is anticipated to share a significant number of specifications with the Ultra variant. These are expected to include the next-generation Snapdragon processor and Samsung's Privacy Display technology. While Samsung experimented with the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge in 2025, the model reportedly failed to gain substantial consumer interest, leading the company to forgo a successor this year. Instead, the S27 Pro is being introduced as a device for users who desire high-end capabilities found in the Ultra but in a more manageable size and without the integrated S Pen stylus.
Camera and Performance Expectations
Reports suggest that the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will share an identical rear camera system. This setup is rumored to feature a substantial 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and another 50-megapixel telephoto camera capable of 5x optical zoom. While details regarding the battery capacity remain undisclosed, the shared processor and camera technology indicate a focus on delivering a premium user experience across these two high-end devices within the Galaxy S27 lineup.
The move to introduce a Pro model that omits the S Pen marks a potential strategic shift for Samsung, catering to a segment of the market that appreciates flagship performance and camera quality but finds the larger screen sizes and stylus integration of the Ultra models less appealing.
