Google Wallet has unified transaction history, allowing users to see purchases made on both their smartphones and Wear OS smartwatches within a single app interface. This long-awaited update, first noted by 9to5Google, resolves a previous limitation where the mobile app only displayed the last 10 transactions from the phone itself, requiring users to visit the Google Wallet website for a complete view, especially if using a smartwatch with the same account.

The division in transaction visibility stemmed from Google Wallet's security protocol, which assigns a distinct virtual card number to each device, even when linked to the same underlying credit card. While the actual credit card number remains the same, the separate virtual numbers previously created a fragmented spending record within the app. The new integration displays purchases made on a watch directly within the phone app, often with a note like "Purchase made on watch" appearing below the transaction details. However, the app still limits the total visible transactions to the last 10.

Expanded Transaction History Access

For a comprehensive overview of all financial activity, users must still access the Google Wallet website. There, they can navigate to "Transactions" in the upper left corner and select "View more transactions" to see their complete spending history across all linked devices. This update, which has been in development since January 2026, was signaled in a changelog for version 26.01 of Google Play services. The update mentioned the ability to "view transactions from other devices and online purchases that use virtual card numbers," indicating Google's intent to streamline the user experience.

This enhancement to transaction tracking arrives as Google continues to refine the integration between Google Wallet and its Wear OS platform. In March 2026, Google introduced Express Pay for users with Pixel Watch 2 and newer models. This feature allows for contactless payments in stores and on public transit simply by tapping the watch, without needing to wake the device or manually open the Google Wallet application first. Currently, Express Pay's in-store functionality is exclusive to the latest Pixel Watch models, while other Wear OS devices can only utilize it for transit payments. The timeline for extending full Express Pay features to a wider range of Wear OS devices remains unannounced.

The consolidation of spending data is a significant step towards a more cohesive digital wallet experience. By presenting a unified view of transactions, Google Wallet aims to provide users with greater clarity and convenience in managing their finances on the go. This update addresses a long-standing user request and reflects Google's ongoing efforts to enhance the functionality and user-friendliness of its digital payment services across its hardware ecosystem.
