Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Ultra 2 Bands Revealed
Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 next month, and new details have emerged regarding the variety of bands that will accompany these smartwatches, including sporty, hybrid, and fabric options.

Samsung is poised to unveil its latest smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch 9, alongside the anticipated Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, expected to launch next month. Ahead of the official announcement, details have surfaced regarding the array of new bands that will be available for both devices. Notably, while both watches appear to use similar connector mechanisms to their predecessors, the Ultra bands will not be compatible with the standard Galaxy Watch 9 due to design differences, specifically "Ultra" branding on the connector tip.
The new lineup includes a sporty band, designed for both the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. This iteration resembles the Marine band from last year but features a less bulky profile. It is slated to arrive in at least five distinct colors for both models: Orange, Green, Black, light blue, and cream. The Hybrid band, a popular choice from the previous generation, is also returning. This band offers a leather-like aesthetic while being constructed from durable plastic, making it suitable for workouts. It will be offered in a wide selection of colors, including beige, black, gray, and brown. However, the blue hybrid band previously available for the Galaxy Watch 8 is not expected to be part of the Galaxy Watch 9 series offerings.
New Styles and Color Palettes Emerge
Samsung appears to be embracing pastel tones for the upcoming releases. A collection of pastel bands—light yellow, blue, green, and white—are expected, seemingly exclusive to the standard Galaxy Watch 9. Their design, particularly the connector end and the absence of "Ultra" branding, suggests they are not intended for the Ultra model. Additionally, the familiar Sport band is making a comeback as a default option, available in a multitude of colors. This year's Sport band sports a subtle design modification, with a slightly concave center. Expected colors include yellow, blue, black, and green, with the possibility of more shades being introduced.
The popular fabric band is also set for a return with minimal alterations. However, a distinct version tailored for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will feature a more robust buckle, mirroring the design seen on the original Galaxy Watch Ultra. Complementing these options, the Trail band, specifically for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, returns this year. It will be available in a curated selection of colors: orange, black, green, and blue. The introduction of these diverse band options underscores Samsung's strategy to offer personalized aesthetics and enhanced functionality for its latest smartwatch offerings, catering to a broad spectrum of user preferences and activities.
